Learn about the vegetables used in KYOZUKE pickles, focusing on Kyoyasai—traditional vegetables grown in the historic city of Kyoto. These vegetables are known for their exceptional quality and rich history. Explore what makes Kyoto vegetables so unique and special.

The Art of Making KYOZUKE Pickles

Understand how KYOZUKE pickles are made using Kyoto vegetables. Discover what sets Japanese pickles apart from others and learn about the benefits and appeal of fermented foods. A live demonstration of nukazuke (traditional Japanese rice bran pickling) will follow, and participants will have the chance to taste freshly prepared pickles.

How to Enjoy Japanese Pickles

How do you serve and enjoy Japanese pickles? Special guest Chef Uchiyama from Kamome Shokudo will show you how to use Japanese pickles in everyday meals. Enjoy tasting dishes featuring KYOZUKE pickles, prepared and explained by the chef.
